Officials with the Atlantic Grand Circuit Week have released the details of the 2018 edition of the annual golf tournament.
The tournament, which is for horsepeople, invited guests, and fans of Truro Raceway, will take place on Friday, July 20.
The tournament will be held at the East Mountain Golf Course. First tee-off time will be at 9 a.m. Organizers are hoping to have a very large crowd again this year.
There will be a $500 prize for the ‘closest to the hole.’ There are also many other prizes to give out, including the longest drive for both men and women. Last year, the tournament had 84 golfers in attendance, and organizers are expecting to have just as many enthusiastic and talented golfers this year.
The price for the event is $80 per player, and only $50 for East Mountain members. The fee will include 18 holes of golf, continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at the Truro Horsemen’s Club and a steak BBQ at The Truro Horsemen’s Club after golfing. The tee-off time will be at 9 a.m. There will be a shotgun start, so please register as soon as possible.
This year’s Atlantic Grand Circuit Week will showcase the top Standardbred racehorses from the Maritimes. The feature will be the invitational Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Cup, which will be contested during the evening of Saturday, July 21.
If you or you organization is interested in donating a prize or sponsoring the event to some degree, please contact Tammy MacKay at 902-986-8475 or [email protected] at your earliest convenience.
