Canada Day Racing In Fredericton

Atlantic Sires Stakes harness racing action returns to Fredericton Raceway on Canada Day, as three-year-old pacing colts and fillies highlight two holiday cards

The fillies will take to the track during the afternoon card of racing, as three “A” divisions will go for a purse pool of $7,700 each and one “B” division will go for $2,500. Post time for the afternoon race card on Thursday, July 1 is 1 p.m.

Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action will heat up again in the evening , when the three-year-old pacing colts meet for competition. Three “A” divisions will race for $7,320 each and two “B” divisions will each go for $2,500. The Walter Dale Memorial Invitational Pace will be another highlight on the evening card of racing, with first race post time slated for 6:30 p.m.

Points accumulated in each Atlantic Sires Stakes “A” division event goes towards earning entry into the season-ending Atlantic Breeders Crown Championships. This year Truro Raceway will host the premier harness racing event. The Weekend Festival of Racing will take place October 8, 9 and 10 and will include the Atlantic Sires Stakes championships and consolations, as well as invitational races and the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Select Yearling Sale.
