Yonkers Among New York Casino Applicants

The New York State Gaming Facility Location Board (Board) received eight applications in response to the Request for Applications (RFA) to Develop and Operate a Gaming Facility in New York State before the 4 p.m., June 27, 2025 deadline. The following entities submitted application material to the Board:

  • The Avenir
    Proposed Site: 11th Avenue & 41st Street, Manhattan
    Location: Hudson Yards, Manhattan
     
  • Bally’s New York Casino aka Bally’s NY Operating Company LLC
    Proposed Site: Ferry Point, The Bronx
    Location: 450 Hutchinson Parkways, The Bronx
     
  • Caesars Palace Times Square
    Proposed Site: Times Square, Manhattan
    Location: 1515 Broadway, Manhattan
     
  • Freedom Plaza
    Proposed Site: Freedom Plaza, Manhattan
    Location: 686 1st Avenue, Manhattan
     
  • Metropolitan Park
    Proposed Site: Willets Point, Queens
    Location: 126th Street, Willet Point, Queens
     
  • MGM Empire City
    Proposed Site: Empire City Casino, Yonkers
    Location: 810 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers
     
  • Resorts World New York City
    Proposed Site: Aqueduct Racetrack, Queens
    Location: 110-00 Rockaway Boulevard, Jamaica
     
  • The Coney
    Proposed Site: Coney Island, Brooklyn
    Location: Brooklyn

Application materials for each proposal are expected to be posted on nycasinos.ny.gov over the course of the next week.

Project-specific Community Advisory Committees are being formed to demonstrate public support for the proposed project. Committee members are appointed by the elected representatives representing the physical location of the proposed project. The Appointing Authorities for each corresponding Community Advisory Committee have been notified of their obligation to appoint members as soon as possible. Committees are expected to form and begin work in early July. Information about the Committee activities will be posted on nycasinos.ny.gov.
