On June 15, Jim Marohn Jr. drove second favorite, Ourlittlegeneral A trained by Michael Annunziata to victory at Yonkers Raceway in race 5 to pick up career win number 5,000.
Jim joins his father, Jim Marohn Sr. in the 5,000 win club as his father won 5,358 times during his 38-year career.
Marohn began driving in 2002 and in his 20 years of driving has amassed $39 million in earnings in 32,425 starts. His career high in wins came in 2017 with 496 and his best year in earnings was 2018 with $5.3 million.
In 2020, Marohn ranked fourth at Yonkers Raceway in starts (1125), wins (133) and earnings with $2.3 million.
