The Meadows announced today that it has moved the 2010 Arden Downs Stakes for two-year-old pacing fillies

.

That stakes event, known as the Catherine Baker Knoll, will now be taking place Friday, July 30. First-race post time that day is 6:55 p.m. The Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission has approved the change.

The Catherine Baker Knoll was originally scheduled for Saturday, July 31, as part of the Delvin Miller Adios final card, which includes multiple divisions of the Quinton Patterson Adioo Volo for three-year-old pacing fillies and the Gov. David L. Lawrence for two-year-old pacing colts.

With new barn construction scheduled throughout July, racing the Catherine Baker Knoll a day earlier will ease horse congestion on Adios Day and more comfortably accommodate construction plans.

The Catherine Baker Knoll, which remains a vital feature of Grand Circuit Week, carries an estimated purse of $100,000.
