Anil Kapoor At Woodbine Today

Anil Kapoor, one of India’s most prolific and versatile actors, will be making a brief visit to Woodbine Racetrack today (Thursday, June 23) while in town for the International Indian Film Awards June 23 – 25

.

The three-day festival hosted in Toronto is part of a partnership between Ontario Tourism and IIFA to promote Toronto to visitors from India.

Kapoor, best known in North America for his pivotal role in the Oscar-winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire' and his feature part in 16 episodes of the globally-watched TV series '24,' has become the world’s most recognized Indian actor. He is scheduled to appear next in Hollywood’s mega-production of 'Mission Impossible 4' starring Tom Cruise.

For those wishing to catch a glimpse of Kapoor, he is scheduled to arrive at Woodbine at approximately 4:00 p.m. He will receive a tour of the thoroughbred paddock for an up-close look at the horses before enjoying this afternoon's seventh race from the second-floor grandstand. Following the winner’s circle presentation, Kapoor will briefly mingle with the fans before returning downtown for more Bollywood celebrations.
