A collection of items relating to Dan Patch has been assembled by the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame and, with the sponsorship support of Central Ontario Standardbred Association, will be on display at Clinton Raceway as part of the track’s Legend’s Day events on Sunday (June 23). Additional dates and locations will be added to the tour in the coming weeks.
Dan Patch is being recognized for his contribution to Canadian horse racing as the CHRHF 2019 Legend honouree. In addition to the great pacer’s racing accomplishments throughout his undefeated career which included four stops in Canada during the early 1900’s, Dan Patch was an advertising and marketing icon with his image appearing on packaging for products ranging from animal feed products to tobacco and fresh fruit.
