In conjunction with the simulcasting of the Belmont Stakes for thoroughbreds, officials at Pocono Downs today announced that the track will have a special 5:00 p.m. first-race post time for its card of live racing on Saturday, June 5
.
Featured on the live race card will be the $250,000 James M. Lynch Memorial Stakes finals for three-year-old pacing fillies.
Also, there will be no live cards on Fridays during the months of June, July and August at Pocono. The track is switching Fridays to Monday evenings with a 6:30 p.m. first-race post. The first Monday night card is set for June 7, and the first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free program and free $2 wagering voucher.
