Ladner, an original Board of Director for Harness Racing PEI, had long been an avid supporter of harness racing. Family and friends maintain a strong connection to the industry as owners. The fifth annual Cecil Ladner Memorial Pacing Series is one of the opening events on the Maritime Invitational Circuit with eliminations set for June 19 and the $5,000 (added) final and $3,400 consolation on June 26. The nomination deadline is Monday, June 14 at 12 p.m.
