It has been announced that the ‘Stable That God Loves’ will be featured on national television Saturday night.

The feature will be aired on TSN at 10 p.m. (ET) during the $1 million Pepsi North America Cup telecast. The Pepsi North America Cup is Canada’s richest race for three-year-old pacers. The ‘Cup’ will be the centerpiece of a huge Saturday night card of racing at Mohawk Racetrack in Campbellville, Ont.

Award-winning television producer Paul Salvalaggio of the Woodbine Entertainment Group’s broadcast department is the producer of the feature for TSN.

The Stable That God Loves is a fundraising initiative for the Standardbred Racetrack Chaplaincy of Canada. As part of the program, one per cent of each horse’s purses earnings in 2015 is donated to the Chaplaincy, which is dedicated to providing for the emotional, physical, spiritual and human needs of the horse racing work force in southwestern Ontario.

Stables large and small have named their stable stars to the Stable That God Loves. Some horsemen have pledged their entire stable, a gesture that speaks volumes for their huge support of the program.

The Stable That God Loves is bursting at the seams. There are 60 trotters and pacers and one Thoroughbred ‘bedded down’ in the Stable That God Loves, and on any given day (night) its stable members can be found competing and winning at major U.S. and Canadian racetracks.

The Stable is chalking up some impressive numbers. Purse earnings recently surpassed the $1 million mark and the 27 starters in the program have notched a total of 39 wins, 30 seconds and 26 thirds from 134 trips postward.

Madefromlucky, a recent starter in the $1.5 million Belmont Stakes, and the lone Thoroughbred in the Stable That God Loves, is the top money-winner in the program with $390,000 for owner Mac Nichol of Erin, Ont.

Puslinch, Ont. owner Michael Guerrierio is the largest contributor to the stable with nine Dave Menary-trained and co-owned trotters and pacers.

Post time for the $1 million Pepsi North America Cup is 10:40 p.m.
