Maywood Pace Set For Friday

A field of eight three-year-old pacing colts and geldings will contest Maywood Park’s $92,000 Maywood Pace on Friday, June 20 at the Illinois oval.

The Maywood Pace, one of the track’s signature events, has been carded as Race 9 and has an approximate post time of 9:50 p.m. (Central).

Additionally, Maywood and the USTA have announced a guaranteed pool of $15,000 for the track’s Thursday Pick Six, which has a carryover of $4,283 and will start on the second race at approx. 7:30 p.m. (Central). The Maywood Park Pick 6 has a 20-cent minimum. This is a traditional Pick Six and is not a jackpot wager requiring a single winner to take down the entire pool. The four-day jackpot will be paid to the people that can correctly select the winners on races two through seven.

The Maywood Pick Four will follow on races eight through 11 on Thursday. The one-dollar wager offers a guaranteed pool of $7,500 and a low takeout of 15 per cent. The Thursday Pick Four pools are growing more popular in June, averaging $12,826. The Pick Four is also doing brisk business on Fridays in June, averaging $15,940. The Friday Pick Four has a guaranteed pool of $10,000.
