GRR Show On Cogeco TV

Grand River Raceway and Cogeco TV Fergus will begin airing the first installment of the track’s Local Highlight Reel this weekend.

The two-hour show is produced by Grand River Raceway and showcases more than 30 races from the track’s first six weeks of the 2012 live racing season. The footage and narration explain the local connections to each horse within the TV station’s Wellington County viewing area.

Some of the highlights include: Lucky George, winner of the Local Biz Night Pace; win seven from eight starts for The Deputy Is Home and local trainer Kevin McMaster; first time wins for horses owned by area residents, such as Oaklea Unique and Spice King; multiple wins by Snegemsgrand Fork, The Bronx Bumper and Cavin Hanover; monster longshot winners Final Encore ($196.00) and Erikastar Mindale ($54); and a four-bagger for driver Robert Shepherd.

The show also includes all of the track’s 2012 Week In Review video mash-ups to date.

The Local Highlight Reel will show on Cogeco TV 14 on the following dates and times: June 15 at 8:00 p.m.; June 16 at 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.; June 19 at 8:30 p.m.
