Trot Insider has learned that horseman and former Ontario Jockey Club Board member John Bosworth passed away on June 2 at the age of 89.
Bosworth, who was still breeding, raising, and racing stock, passed away peacefully with his partner, Shirley Wornig, at his side.
Bosworth is predeceased by his wife, Joan, brothers, Bill and Norm, and sister, Barbara Avery. He is survived by his sister, Margaret-Ann Aquilina of Collingwood. Beloved father of John Jr. (Brenda), Mark and his wife Marjorie, Susan Kernot (Rick). Proud Grandfather of Justin and Candice Kernot, Cheryl Langevin.
Details regarding a celebration of Bosworth's life are to be announced at a later date.
