Continuing to prep for their 2010 pari-mutuel debuts, a pair of notable three-year-olds are scheduled to put in their second consecutive qualifying miles Friday, June 11 during the six-race morning session at Mohawk Racetrack
.
The second dash of the morning will see 2009 Ontario Sires Stakes Two-Year-Old Filly Pace Super Final winner FBs Terror put in her second qualifying effort of the season from trainer Mario Macri and driver Scott Zeron. She will start from Post 3.
The Western Terror filly finished a half-length back in second in her qualifier last week and was individually clocked in 1:56.1. Macri indicated afterward that he was expecting his filly to be better in tomorrow's qualifier.
"We're trying new things," Macri said during the interview with the Woodbine Entertainment Group. "She wasn't really happy with the earplugs today, so I don't think we'll be wearing them anymore. She's coming off three weeks since her last good mile. I think she'll be a lot better next week."
The other filly which will be putting in her second qualifier back is the Dan Creighton-trained and Trevor Ritchie-driven Angostura, who last week won by eight lengths in 1:57.3.
"I was pretty happy with her. She was very strong and went a mile in 1:57.3 and behaved herself," Ritchie said about the Angus Hall lass during another WEG interview. "Her manners can sometimes get in the way, but today they were good."
Angostura will be starting from Post 1 in Race 3.
