Indiana will become the first state to have its pari-mutuel wagering independently monitored in real time. At its May 29, 2009 public meeting, the Indiana Horse Racing Commission approved Hoosier Park and Indiana Downs to enter an agreement with Advanced Monitoring Systems, Inc. (AMS). System testing will begin later this month, while real time monitoring is expected to commence in July 2009.

“Hoosier Park and Indiana Downs are to be commended for their proactive approach on this most important issue,” said Sarah McNaught, Commission Chairman.

“This is a big day for AMS and a big day for pari-mutuel wagering integrity,” said Isidore Sobkowski, AMS President and CEO. “Our proven and tested advanced artificial intelligence solution for wagering integrity will help ensure a fair racing environment for all stakeholders. Indiana’s cyber-security leadership will set the standard for the entire industry.”

Founded by Isidore Sobkowski, former Director of the Office of Wagering Security at the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), Advanced Monitoring Systems, Inc. (Stamford, CT-based) is a vendor of an independent real-time wagering integrity solution for the pari-mutuel industry.
