Longtime horse owner Ray Odorico of Limehouse, Ont. passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the Georgetown Hospital, in his 77th year

For years, Odorico was an ownership partner with Ross Henry and the duo campaigned numerous racehorses with the Odee and Wheeling prefixes. Odorico's Wheeling Ginny foaled two of his best racehorses - Raygin Blaze and Wheeling Jacoba, and Odorico was also associated with Ontario Sired Stakes campaigners like Odee Gal, Wheely Dal and Odee Amigo.
Best friend and husband of Virginia. Remembered and loved by son Aldo, daughter Belinda and son-in-law Joe Rice. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Remo and Reno and by his sisters Yolanda and Rena as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday May 11th, 2009 at 11:00 am. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown.
