Kawartha Downs will be celebrating the life of Dave "Garney" Gibson, longtime trainer/owner and Ontario Harness Horse Association (OHHA) director, during its live harness racing program this Saturday, June 4.
Gibson passed away on January 18, 2022. His dedication and commitment to harness racing was second to none at Kawartha Downs. His passion for the sport and his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs was something he enjoyed very much. Gibson will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
His sisters welcome Gibson's fellow horsepeople and friends to join them on Saturday to remember Dave.
