Clinton Golf Tourney Filling Up Fast

Clinton Raceway’s seventh annual Charity Golf Tournament is filling up quickly due to the fact that this year the tournament is benefiting local horseman Gerry Gaynor and his

family.

Gaynor, from Goderich, Ont., underwent brain surgery last November to remove a tumour which was discovered in October of 2008. He has overcome many obstacles and is currently undergoing rehabilitation at Parkwood Hospital in London. Gaynor is expected to make the move back home to Goderich at the end of May.

The tournament date is set for Wednesday, June 9 at Woodlands Links just west of Clinton. Entry is $100 per person and includes lunch, 18 holes of golf, cart, steak dinner and prizes.

This year there will also be a silent auction incorporated into the event, as well as the ability to purchase dinner-only tickets. Tickets for the dinner will be $30 each.

The day’s events will begin with lunch and registration from 11:00 a.m. to noon. A shotgun start for the four-person scramble will be at noon sharp. Dinner has been scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

If interested in attending, donating a silent auction item, or prize table donation, contact Jessica Kochis at Clinton Raceway via email at [email protected] or by phone at 519-482-5204.

The tournament will be full with 144 players, and there are a limited number of dinner only tickets as well.
