Officials with Kawartha Downs have announced that longtime racehorse owner Steve LeBlanc of Smith Falls, Ont. has made a $300 donation to the Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society. The donation is in relation to the Saturday promotion at Kawartha that will see a set of driver Gord Brown’s colours raffled off in support of OSAS.

The raffle is part of ‘Gord Brown Night’ at Kawartha, which also kicks off the track’s 43rd season of live harness racing.

“[Steve LeBlanc] is a great guy, I've driven for him for years," said Brown, who will be on-hand to greet fans as they arrive Saturday night. Brown will be driving in every one of the track’s 10 races on Saturday.

First-race post time for the card is 7 p.m.
