The Alberta Standardbred Horse Association (ASHA) has announced that the final two weekends of the standardbred race meet at Alberta Downs in Lacombe have been cancelled
.
Due to the warmer weather, it has caused frost to come up from below the surface. Horse Racing Alberta and Alberta Downs are working on rescheduling the cancelled days (May 30, May 31, June 6 and June 7) and may pick them up in the fall.
