The Meadowlands Racetrack is back to running at full capacity this Friday (May 28).
Per New Jersey Executive Order 242, the capacity limits inside the racetrack Grandstand and in the FanDuel Sportsbook have been lifted. Also masks are no longer required for patrons and employees that are fully vaccinated. Anyone not fully vaccinated must wear a mask.
While temperature checks and COVID questionaires are no longer an operational necessity, patrons will be asked to view a small series of COVID-related questions. If patrons answer "yes" to any of the questions, they will be asked not to enter the track due to health concerns.
"It has been a long 14 months for all of us," stated Jason Settlemoir, COO and general manager of The Meadowlands. "We are grateful to all of our staff, fans and horsemen that have helped and supported us this last year. We are so thankful to be fully open for business this weekend and look forward to seeing everyone back at the track.'
Dining for this weekend is available in Trotters with a $29.95 prix fixe menu on Friday and $39.95 on Saturday. The menu features a variety of salads and desserts along with Kentucky-style fried chicken, sliced steak and more. Reservations can be made by calling 201-460-4079 or emailing [email protected]
The Backyard BBQ & Grill is open also all weekend with delicious barbeque items including ribs, brisket, mac and cheese, and burgers.
The second-floor lounge overlooking both the track and Victory TVs is open for bar and table dining, and is the perfect spot to watch both the racing and playoff basketball.
Live racing continues this Friday and Saturday with a 6:20 p.m. post. Information can be found at PlayMeadowlands.com.
