The P.E.I. Harness Racing Industry Association (PEIHRIA) has announced that it will offer the Broodmare Purchase Assistance Program once again for the 2022-2023 fiscal year (April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023) in conjunction with the P.E.I. Standardbred Breeders Association.
There will be a total of 10 slots available (five pace and five trot) during the year. The deadline for entries for the first draw is May 31 at 11:59 p.m. AST.
Interested applicants should read the program criteria carefully and direct any questions they may have concerning eligibility to the program administrator, Julie Jamieson at 902-569-1682, prior to submitting their application.
The first draw will take place on the PEIHRIA Facebook page live on June 1 at 10 a.m. Successful applicants will be notified by telephone prior to 5 p.m. on June 1.
