The Stable has announced that it will conduct a fantasy stable contest comprised of its horses, with $10,000 in prizes up for grabs.
With support from The Meadowlands, Woodbine Entertainment Group, Blue Chip Farms, and Diamond Creek Farms, The Stable's 2016 Fantasy Stable contest features a $6,000 first place, $3,000 for second place and $1,000 for third. The winner of the contest will be announced on Breeders Crown night at The Meadowlands.
"Fantasy sports are on the rise all over the world," said The Stable's Anthony MacDonald. "Draft Kings, Yahoo sports, Fan Duel and many others have changed the way people partake in the actual sports experience. Horse racing is an interesting sport and thestable.ca plans on showing the world how interesting it really is."
Contestants select four of The Stable's horses. Each dollar earned by The Stable's horses will be worth one point, with the contest period running from July 1 through October 28, 2016.
"We are always attempting to bring the general public back to the track, because we know how important growing this industry is," continued MacDonald. "What better way than free money with no strings attached to pique everyone's curiosity?
