It has been announced that longtime Delaware horseman Brian Wessells passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at the age of 59.
Wessells fought numerous medical battles over the years, but he kept on coming back. Even at his weakest moments, he wanted to be with his horses. His love for the sport of harness racing made him never give up.
Wessells' career as a trainer and driver brought him to numerous other states over the years, including Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and probably more.
A private funeral for Wessells will be taking place.
