The OTEC regularly conducts customer service training programs for the hospitality and entertainment industries. Yesterday’s workshop, entitled 'Service Excellence,' focused on developing customer service strengths and working to provide the ultimate customer service experience for customers.

The WannaBet program will kick off at Western Fair on Molson Pace Night, Friday, May 28. The WannaBet team will be making a number of visits to most of the tracks in Ontario to assist with major events and promotions, primarily through the summer months.

Now in its seventh season, objectives of The WannaBet program are:

  • To engage the first-time attendee or new fan in harness racing and wagering
  • To provide superior customer service while educating and making new people feel comfortable with the racing and wagering experience
  • To work with tracks to enrich the 'racing experience' for all attendees

The WannaBet program is funded by the Standardbred Revenue Allocation Marketing Fund and administered by Standardbred Canada.
