Adkins Hanover has done all the roadwork in every preferred event this season at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park and this Saturday he has the chance to even the score with Mr Irresistible.

First race post time is 6:00 p.m. for the 11-dash Saturday evening card, with the $2,400 featured event lining up in Race 10. Adkins Hanover has drawn Post 7 for driver Corey MacPherson, fresh off a 1:56.2 romp over an off track to defeat Mr Irresistible by 13 lengths in his latest outing. Trevor Hicken trains the pacer for owner Perry Burke of Quebec.

Mr Irresistible was victorious over Adkins Hanover the first two weeks of the Charlottetown season and draws Post 6 this week for driver Jason Hughes, trainer Jennifer Trainor and owner Danny Birt of Stratford. Instant Shadow gets Post 2 in the contest with 2016's top North American percentage driver Gilles Barrieau making his first appearance of the season to drive the Sifroi Melanson trainee.

Race analyst Les MacIsaac selects Adkins Hanover to overcome post 7 and land in the winner's circle again this week.

"Had last week’s race been a fight it would have been stopped, that’s how easily he won," MacIsaac said of Adkins Hanover. "With the time he put up over a track rated three seconds off we can’t rule out a repeat."

Other entries include Twin B Shadow (Ken Murphy), Smiley Bayama (Ron Gass), Pictonian Storm (Wade Sorrie) and Starcastic (Brian MacPhee).

Tobinator, last year's two-year-old pacing colt Atlantic Breeders Crown winner, makes his 2017 debut in race 11 on the program for driver MacPherson, trainer Hicken and owners Perry, Luke and Robin Burke and Kent Livingston. The winner of eight races and over $45,000 in purses in his freshman season will face his toughest test to date as he squares off with tough race horses like Machinthesand (Norris Rogers), Elm Grove Kaboom (Earl Smith), Beau Seelster (Marc Campbell) and Lexis Mandy (Barrieau), who is riding a three-race win streak into this week.

Frill Seeker makes his return in the Race 6 trot class for a $1,550 purse. Kenny Arsenault handles the training and driving on Frill Seeker, who leaves from Post 8 for owner Ebbsfleet Stable of Ontario. He faces seven rivals including last week's trot winner Holy Molie Maggie (Gary Chappell).
