Harness Racing BC has sent out a call for nominations to its Board

HRBC has listed a number of requirements that interested individuals must be aware of.
The list of requirements appears below.
- All paid up members of Harness Racing BC are eligible to stand for the Board of Directors.
- All nominees must be nominated by two other paid up members of HRBC, must consent to the nomination and be endorsed by the Board.
- All nominees must have been an ordinary resident in BC for at least one year; they must not be a director, officer, employee or shareholder of a racing association.
- The full Board of HRBC will consist of four (4) Owners, four (4) Breeders and
Four (4) Trainers/Drivers -- that is twelve (12) Directors in total. - All nominees must declare whether they are Owner, Breeder or Trainer/Driver at the time of nomination.
- The closing date for nominations will be April 30, 2010.
If an election is required for any or all categories, ballots will be distributed to all paid up members of Harness Racing BC by May 15. Ballots will be required to be received by May 30, 2010 if required.
All elected Director terms will commence officially at the 2010 annual General Meeting, which is to be held with the opening of the new meet in early October, 2010.
