The Great Canadian Gaming Corp., operator of Standardbred racinos in Canada, has announced that it has terminated the employment of its chief financial officer.
The company announced the news in a brief press release which was sent out on Tuesday, April 4.
The release states that Andreas Thompson's employment with the company was terminated on April 3. The release explains that the termination came before Thompson’s probationary period had finished.
In the same release, Great Canadian announced that it has appointed Radek Kielar as interim vice-president, finance, who will be designated to serve until such time as a permanent CFO is named.
In addition to casinos and other holdings, Great Canadian owns and operates harness raceways Fraser Downs, Georgian Downs and Flamboro Downs. Great Canadian also operates the gaming facilities in the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp.’s ‘Gaming Bundle 2,’ which is also referred to as the ‘East Gaming Bundle.’
