The Truro Harness Horse Owners Association (THHOA) is inviting members of the harness racing community and the public to come together for an evening of celebration at its Annual Awards Banquet on April 18, 2026.
The event will take place at the Truro Horsemen’s Club, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ADT, and will highlight the achievements of owners, trainers, drivers and horses from the 2025 racing season.
Organizers say the banquet is an opportunity to recognize the dedication, hard work and passion that continue to strengthen the local harness racing community. The evening will feature an awards presentation, food and fellowship, door prizes and a chance to reflect on memorable moments from the past season.
Maritime racing fans will also hear from special guest speaker Corey MacPherson, the winning driver of the 2025 Gold Cup & Saucer, who is expected to share insights and experiences from the sport.
"The evening will be an excellent way to celebrate a successful racing season and a great opportunity to kick off the 2026 season after a long winter," said Corey Pickrem, THHOA President.
The association welcomes both longtime members and newcomers to attend, emphasizing the event as a celebration of community and excellence at Truro Raceway.
Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased by e-transfer to [email protected]. The deadline to purchase tickets is April 10, and attendees are encouraged to secure their spot early.
Organizers say they are looking forward to a memorable evening honouring the best of harness racing in Truro.
