The 2021 Buckeye Stallion Series begins this weekend with the first leg in the three-year-old division schedule for Friday and Saturday nights (April 30 and May 1) at Miami Valley Raceway.
Each race will carry a purse of $17,500, which totals $315,000 for the first leg.
Three-year-old colts and geldings will open the series Friday night. A total of 63 pacers were split into seven divisions, while 30 trotters are scheduled to contest three divisions.
On Saturday night, fillies take centre stage in eight races — four divisions each for pacers and trotters. Thirty-nine filly pacers are schedule to compete, along with 36 trotters.
The 18 races will feature a total 168 horses, competing for 93 different trainers.
Post time on Friday is 4:05 p.m.; Saturday's post time is 12 noon.
