The Meadows has announced that, beginning Monday, May 6, it will introduce a Pick 5 wager that will span the last five races of each card and offer an attractive 50-cent minimum (in Pennsylvania, the minimum per-race bet is $2.) The Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission has approved the new wager.
If there are no winning Pick 5 tickets, 80 per cent of the pool will be carried over to the next program’s Pick 5, providing the opportunity for rich payoffs. The Pick 5 will replace the late Pick 4 currently offered.
In addition to the Pick 5, the Meadows’ wagering menu now includes:
- Win/place/show, exacta and trifecta wagering on every race;
- Early and late Daily Doubles;
- Up to four Pick 3 wagers per card;
- Superfecta wagering on all races with at least eight betting interests, except those that kick off a Pick 4 or a Pick 5;
- Pick 4 wagering covering Races 4-7.
