Exciting May For Western Fair

As Western Fair Raceway heads into its final -- and most eventful -- month of live racing in its current meet, note that the schedule of live racing will change from

four days to two.

During the month of May, the London, Ont. racetrack will offer live racing on Tuesdays and Fridays with a 7:05 p.m. first-race post time. This May promises to be particularly exciting, as the track will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on May 17 with lots of special events, promotions and giveaways planned. Also of note is the opening leg of the Slots Cup Series (May 13).

The track’s signature event, the Molson Pace, will highlight the final night of racing on May 27 (eliminations will be contested the week prior). Sarah Imrie will provide updates each week on the Molson Pace nominees which will be available in the Western Fair program and on the track's website.

Western Fair will continue to guarantee its late Win-4 pool at $4,000 on the Tuesday evening programs. In addition, it will soon be announcing an increased guarantee for the late Win-4 on Molson Pace night.

”We’ve been really happy with the results so far,” said Western Fair Racing and Gaming Manager Ian Fleming. “The wager has been gaining momentum and we’ve started to regularly exceed the guarantee, so we think we’ve created something we can build on for next season.”
