Trot Insider has received information in regard to this weekend’s qualifying and pari-mutuel racing at Truro Raceway.
The first live race date of Truro’s 2018 live season is scheduled to take place this Friday (April 27) at 6:30 p.m. To enter, call 902-890-5256 on Tuesday (April 24) between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Please do not leave entries via voicemail as they may not be entered.
To qualify on Friday, call 902-890-5256 on Wednesday (April 25) between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. The qualifying session is scheduled to get underway at 5:15 p.m.
It is important that horsepeople are aware that a Standardbred Canada field representative will be on hand to conduct business.
Standardbred Canada would like to remind all horsepeople that all memberships and eligibility fees need to be paid. Additionally, name changes need to be made before a horse ever qualifies. Coggins tests are required as set out in the rules in your racing jurisdiction.

Additionally, if a horse’s $73 eligibility fee is not paid prior to it making its first start (in a race or qualifier), the horse will be suspended after its first outing in 2018, and the owner of the horse will then be invoiced. For complete information, click here.
