Trot Insider has learned that longtime Standardbred owner and participant William J (Bill) Brownlee passed away on Monday, March 31. He was in his 91st year.
After his retirement from a military career which took him from the Arctic to the Congo, Bill worked for many years with his brother-in-law and nephew, Max and Brian Webster.
Bill is survived by his two daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is fondly remembered by Brian, Gay, Glen and Mark Webster and their extended families.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m. at Discovery Place, 1890 Valley Farm Rd, Pickering, Ont.
