Many horsemen who raced at Windsor Raceway will remember Rick Berthiaume, who worked as a security guard at Windsor Raceway for more than 35 years.
Berthiaume is in the battle of his life fighting stage four lung cancer, and on May 6, 2017 a fundraiser will be held for Rick at Jake's Roadhouse & Blues, 2300 Huron Church Rd. Huron Plaza. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and tickets – which include a pasta dinner are $20 per person.
There is also a gofundme account set up for anyone wishing to donate to help pay expenses which OHIP doesn’t cover.
