The Maritime Provinces Harness Racing Commission has released details for a start-up meeting to prepare industry participants for the upcoming 2026 racing season.
The meeting will take place on April 23 at the 1888 Lounge at Red Shores Charlottetown, and will be held in three sessions:
- 5:30 p.m. – Youth & New Participant Session: This session is intended for young participants and individuals aspiring to become grooms, trainers, or drivers. It will provide guidance and outline the pathway toward becoming a licensed driver.
- 6 p.m. – Drivers Meeting: A meeting for all licensed drivers to discuss the upcoming racing season, expectations, and key updates.
- 6:30 p.m. – General Industry Meeting: Open to all industry participants, this session will cover general information, rule updates, and other matters related to the 2026 racing season.
MPHRC encourages all participants to attend the session(s) relevant to them, as involvement is important in preparing for the upcoming season.
