Late last Friday, the Ontario Racing Commission released its rulings on the appeals of horsemen Brian Lawson and Miroslaw Czupa
.
In regard to Lawson, the ORC saw Lawson's defense ultimately drop an appeal of a $2,000 fine and 90-suspension stemming from 2004.
Lawson's defense is also now scheduled to have an appeal hearing with the ORC on May 10, 2012 in regard to a pair of rulings which would each see the horseman face one-year suspensions and $10,000 fines.

In regard to Czupa, who was looking for a stay of a one-year suspension, the ORC denied the motion and confirmed the suspension. To view the ruling and reasons for decision, click here.
