On Saturday April 24, Buffalo Raceway on the Fairgrounds in Hamburg will host a free class for people interested in handicapping horse races.
Handicapping is the skill of using data to make selections and in horse racing the more you know, the greater your chances to win.
“We have had numerous people ask how to play and pick more winners so we put together this event,” said Buffalo Raceway Marketing Director Jon Cramer.
Although the event is focused on harness racing, people that attend can take away a few tips that would help them wager on the Kentucky Derby, which is Saturday, May 1st.

Racing takes place every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, at the Hamburg Oval with first post scheduled for 6:40 p.m.
