TrackMaster, the leading provider of electronic harness racing information in the United States and Canada, recently announced that it has upgraded its

Virtual Stable™ service. Virtual Stable™, a free service available at trackmaster.com, alerts users via e-mail when horses they are tracking are entered in a race.

In addition to current email options, users can elect to receive a text message to their mobile device to let them know a horse in their “stable” is approaching post-time. Roughly 45 minutes prior to schedule post, users will receive a simple text message informing them of the horse, program number, track, race and estimated minutes to post, for horses they have elected to receive notifications about.

Users of the free service will still receive their full entry notification and results emails, but now have the added option of last hour reminders about horses they wish to follow.

Jim Vanderbosch, TrackMaster’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing said, “With nearly 90 per cent of the population walking around with mobile devices, it made great sense to provide this free service to the industry. While we sell many value added products, we also do our best to provide state-of-the-art no-cost information to the general fan base. We think this upgrade not only serves the fans and horsemen, but also has the potential to have a positive effect on handle”.

Existing Virtual Stable™ users can add the text messaging option by going into their Virtual Stable Page and clicking on “Text Messaging” at the bottom of the page. Anyone can sign up for the Virtual Stable free of charge by accessing it on the Virtual Stable Registration Page of the TrackMaster web site at www.trackmaster.com.
