Members of the I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club are invited to a tour and lunch at First Line Training Centre, located close to Mohawk, on Saturday, May 5. First Line, owned and operated by former trainer Joe Stutzman, is home to many of the province’s top trainers and champion pacers and trotters. The facility features two tracks, an indoor pool, a one-mile jogging trail, a covered exerciser, 200 stalls, and 35 grass paddocks.
Fan Club members will have a chance to watch horses go training miles, see horses swim in the on-site equine pool, watch a blacksmith demo, and meet some of the province’s top trainers and horses.
Following the tour and lunch, there is the option to visit Orange Snail Brewers for a tour. For those not interested in going on to the Brewery, the bus will stop at Woodbine Mohawk Park to drop them off.
The cost of the package is $30 and includes return transportation from Mohawk to First Line Training Centre and Orange Snail Brewers, lunch, and a Fan Club souvenir.
