The PEI Standardbred Horse Owners Association will be holding its annual Awards Banquet this Saturday, April 14, at The Howard Johnsons Dutch Inn in North River, PEI
. The event is slated to begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed with a Dinner and awards at 7:00.
World renowned harness racing trainer, owner, and industry representative, Mr. Mark Ford will be the guest speaker for the awards banquet.
“We are very grateful that Mr. Ford has taken time from his hectic schedule to serve as our keynote speaker," said Banquet Committee Chair Betty Gregan.. "He has perennially been one of the leading trainers in North America, and of course was the trainer of the richest pacer in the history of the sport, Gallo Blue Chip with $4.26 million in earnings. We really look forward to hearing about his operation and his views and suggestions on the industry today.”
The PEISHOA would like to advise those interested in attending that tickets will most likely be at a premium, and to avoid disappointment people are asked to secure their tickets just as soon as possible.
