Six days later, the Balmoral Park final Pick 5 pool on February 22 not only surpassed $170,000 but three winners in New York, Oregon and Ohio each won a record $44,675.10 for fifty cents.

The Balmoral Pick Four is offered on the Final Four races. The Wednesday Pick Four starts on Race 7. The minimum bet is a dollar and the takeout is just 15 per cent. The average payout this year is $2,566 for a buck. Free program pages are available at ustrotting.com.

Balmoral Park and the USTA offer guaranteed pools every night. $20,000 guaranteed Pick Four pools are available Wednesdays and Saturdays. Every Sunday Balmoral offers a $25,000 Guaranteed Pick Four pool and a $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Five pool with a fifty cent minimum.

Balmoral handle continues to be one of the great stories of 2012. In the first two months of the year handle increased $7,194,681 versus the same 25 dates in 2011. Those figures compute to a nightly handle increase of $287,787 per-card. Balmoral currently offers the lowest percentage of winning favourites in the country at 31.23 per cent. The 10-cent High Five is on the final race of the night.
