After a successful opening night of the 2019 live harness racing season on Friday, March 29, Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino has announced a $30,000 Guaranteed Pick 4 sequence when live racing resumes on Thursday, April 4. The Pick-4 sequence went unsolved on both Friday and Saturday as longshots prevailed and put an interesting spin on the opening weekend action. An $11,707.42 carryover will kick-start the $30,000 Guaranteed Pool set for Thursday.
In partnership with the Unites States Trotting Association Strategic Wagering program and the Indiana Standardbred Association, Harrah’s Hoosier Park will offer this signature wager for Thursday’s 13-race card. Three divisions of the $12,500 Donnie Conrad Memorial Trot and three divisions of the $12,500 Rosie Harness Memorial Pace will highlight Thursday’s action.
The Pick-4 begins in the third race and will continue through the sixth race. Approximate post time for the first leg of the wager, the third race, is 7:06 p.m. (est.). Free past performances for the Pick-4 will be available on the United States Trotting Association website. Expert selections and handicapping tools are also available on Hoosier Park’s website and The United States Trotting Association’s website.
Officials with Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino were forced to cancel the remainder of the Saturday’s live racing card after six races due to inclement weather.
