As the calendar turns to April and more tracks in the region return to live racing, The Meadowlands would like to remind competing horsepersons of the policies that are enforced during this time. The notes included on each weekly condition sheet are a good source for information on these details and policies.

All horsepersons intending to compete at The Meadowlands must fill out and sign the Racing Application before racing.

Horses that qualify at The Meadowlands are required to make their first start off that qualifier at The Meadowlands, unless that first start is in a stakes at another track, or they contact and are excused by Racing Secretary Scott Warren.

Also, a reminder to those drivers competing at both Harrah's Philadelphia and The Meadowlands on Fridays to be aware of the time constraints and not to book drives the last few in Philly and the first few at The Meadowlands to avoid late driver changes in the Pick-5. The Meadowlands stated in its notice that customers have made it clear that a significant driver change once the bet has been made is poor policy and to be avoided as best possible.

Beginning with the Friday, March 31 card, USTA licensed and ROAP accredited Presiding Judge Lou Haskell with be monitoring the races and enforcing Meadowlands policies on behalf of Meadowlands management.

Drivers will be required to reapply to race during the Championship Meet by April 29.
