The Isle Casino Pompano Park will play host to a fantastic Sunday night (March 27) card, with a few added incentives for patrons as well.
The 50-cent Pick 5 covers races one through five, and track officials have added a $7,500 guarantee to the total pool for the special holiday card.
The fourth race Pentafecta, where fans must select the top five finishers in order, will offer a $6,194 carryover into Sunday night, with track officials placing a $20,000 guarantee on the total pool. The carryover was originally slated for Saturday night (March 26), but the wager was cancelled after Saturday night’s fourth race was scratched down to only six starters. Sunday evening will offer a competitive nine-horse event.
Track officials have also ‘doubled-up’ on the typical Sunday night Pick 4 guaranteed pool, with a $20,000 guarantee tabbed for the holiday card. The Pick 4 covers races six through nine, and features a reduced takeout of only 12 per cent.
Last, but certainly not least, the Jackpot Hi-Five carryover heading into the finale is worth $103,262. Despite the even-money favourite winning in Saturday’s finale, there were only two winning tickets out on the wager, but that was enough for the carryover to escape once again.
Live racing continues at the Isle Casino Pompano Park on a four night per week schedule, with a first post of 7:30 p.m. every Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evening. The final Saturday evening card of the season is slated for April 9.
