Yves Fontaine Passes

In loving memory of Yves Fontaine

Former Standardbred trainer and driver Yves Fontaine of Quebec City, Que. passed away at the Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus on March 19, 2025, at the age of 85. 

He was the son of the late Alberte Plante and the late Roland Fontaine. His family includes his wife, Liliane Brisson; son, Dany (Jennifer Neil and son Caden); siblings, the late André, the late Murielle (Claude Cloutier), the late André (the late Lise Boulanger), Nicole (the late Jean Robitaille), the late Jocelyne (the late Yvon Drolet), the late Lise (the late Lucien Guérard), the late Michel (Denise Drouin), Serge (André Bédard), Diane (Serge Gosselin), the late Jacques (Nicole Malouin), Normand, the late Pierre, and the late France (Alain Dignard); his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the Brisson family, the late Yvette (the late Réal Lamontagne), the late Ovila (the late Yolande Routhier), Gisèle (Gérard Roy), Aline (the late Pierre Roy), and Rita (Paul Arsenault); as well as his nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at La Souvenance Memorial Park Complex, located at 301 rang Ste-Anne in Quebec City. A ceremony will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the La Souvenance Memorial Park Complex.
