Vernon Downs is seeking an outrider for the upcoming 2018 racing season.
Job description summary
Responsible for horses and drivers on the racetrack. Responsible for having a routine to perform nightly (weather permitting) to God Bless America (our seventh race stretch). Will work all live race nights for the 2018 racing season.
Candidates must have their own horse to provide the outrider duties with.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.

Actively support the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.

Responsible for the safety of drivers and horses on the racetrack.

Responsible for communicating between drivers and judges.

Prepared in case of an accident during the course of, before, or after a race.

Responsible for having a routine to perform nightly (weather permitting) to God Bless America (our seventh race stretch)
