Hippodrome 3R General Manager Murielle Thomassin has stated that 2020 stakes races at H3R will be rescheduled, but that all stakes payments must be maintained in order for horses to remain eligible.
Additionally, all off-track-betting sites in Quebec have been closed due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
On Tuesday, March 17, the Quebec Jockey Club has announced that the 2020 harness racing season at H3R, which was scheduled to start on May 2, has been postponed until further notice.
“The racetrack and all of the Off-Track-Betting sites (OTB) in Quebec have been closed,” said Murielle Thomassin, general manager at the Hippodrome 3R. “Because of the pandemic over the coronavirus-19, we will not hold qualifying races or training at the facility. As soon as we are able to open the facilities again, we will set a new date to start racing. All stakes races will be rescheduled for later in the season.”
Horsepeople are reminded that all stakes payments, Prix d’Ete and Quebec-bred series, must be maintained in order to be eligible for the stakes. To make nomination payments, owner/trainers can do so by clicking here or by visiting H3R's new website.
