Officials with Western Fair Raceway have announced that due to adverse conditions it has been forced to cancel its card of live racing scheduled for tonight
(Friday, March 11). The card of racing was going to host the Ontario Regional Driving Championship, which will be
rescheduled.
Racetracks across Southern Ontario have been battling adverse weather conditions over the past couple of days. The conditions have forced many tracks to cancel their scheduled cards of racing.
Trot Insider will update this note with the rescheduled date for the ORDC as soon as it is confirmed.
Eight of the province’s top drivers will compete in the ORDC to see who will represent Ontario in the upcoming National Driving Championship
.
Drivers will receive points based on their finishing position in each of the eight championship races. The top two point earners will move on to compete in the National Driving Championship on Saturday, May 7 at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park to determine Canada’s representative for the World Driving Championship.
