Grove E. Stimer, 87, of Parma, Mich., passed away on February 8 at Jackson County Medical Care Facility.
Stimer was a farmer who loved raising and racing horses. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post in Onondaga and the Big-9 Sportsman’s Club.
He is survived by his children, Hugh (Linda), Virgil (Sandra), Jeffery (Mary Jo) and Cheryl (Phil Peden) Stimer-Hughes; stepson, Stanley Pluta; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Knauer; and brother, Clayton. He was preceded in death by his wives, Arlene, Florence and Frances; son, Robert; two brothers; and two sisters.
Stimer is at Lauer Family Funeral Homes in Concord where his family will receive friends on Saturday (February 14) from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Interment is at Chapel Cemetery.
